Applicants will be advised the outcome of their application by close of business on Tuesday 28 February 2023.
This scholarship will support commencing students from the Kingaroy and surrounding region with the cost of relocation and other costs associated with study.
In recognition of the Mills family's long association with Kingaroy and surrounding region, The Mills Family Regional Scholarship supports higher education opportunities for those living in regional areas.
This scholarship aims to encourage high school graduates from Kingaroy and the surrounding region, who are committed to their community through sport, leadership or other extra-curricular activities, to embrace the opportunity to relocate for higher education at UniSC.
This scholarship will be paid after the Census Date in two (2) instalments of A$5,000 per semester for the first two (2) semesters of the program.
*Applicants and/or immediate family should have permanently resided for at least 2 years in one of the following eligible postcodes. Students who move away to attend boarding school are eligible provided their immediate family still permanently resides in one of these locations:

Please Note: This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the scholarship will not be awarded.
- Eligibility
- commencing full-time in any bachelor’s level program
- relocating from Kingaroy and surrounds to study at the UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus having been a permanent resident of the region for at least two years prior*
- completed high school within the previous two years
- Permanent Resident of Australia, Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or a Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder
- Selection criteria
- academic merit
- community contribution and leadership skills demonstrated through participation in sporting, extra-curricular and/or other community activities.
- preference may be given to an applicant who resides in Kingaroy
