Medical and health sciences

Nursing and Midwifery simulation labs

UniSC's Bachelor of Nursing Science and Bachelor of Midwifery students develop hands-on skills in the Nursing Skills and Simulation Labs. These rooms are set up to replicate a functional hospital ward.

Paramedic Science students use a simulated on-road ambulance to practice emergency situations. A training area gives students practice treating patients in a home environment.

Our Nutrition students use this fully equipped commercial kitchen to practice food prep and complete practical assessments.

Engineering

Manufacturing testing lab
Manufacturing and structural testing

The manufacturing laboratory has two state-of-the-art, computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines used to convert students' ideas into prototypes.

Engineering Centrifugal Pump Test Apparatus
Engineering training area

This multi-purpose laboratory is for practical experiments that reinforce course content. It's used for everything from pavement engineering and materials testing to geomechanics, fluid mechanics and hydrology.

Robotics and automation lab

The big, orange ABB robot helps students learn fundamentals like robot path planning and pick-and-place movements.

Law and criminology

Moot court

UniSC's Moot court located at UniSC Sunshine Coast is a near replica of the Caloundra Magistrates Court where Law students can practice appearing in court.

Creative Industries precinct

Tour our Creative Industries precinct, home to some amazing collaborations for music, theatre, art and screen media projects across the region. This $5.5M state-of-the-art facility features professional-quality recording and video studios, a black box theatre production space, and Queensland's first MIT Fab Lab Maker Space.

Psychology clinic waiting room
USC Psychology Telehealth Clinic

The USC Psychology Telehealth Clinic provides free mental health services to the community using phone and video conferencing, and also functions as an advanced teaching, training and research facility for postgraduate students (provisionally registered psychologists) in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Master of Professional Psychology programs at USC.

Science

Science Super Lab

This specialist lab is where UniSC Science students test or analyse chemicals and other materials in a liquid state.

The space also includes full multimedia digital facilities.

High Performance Sport Precinct

UniSC Sunshine Coast features a A$24M sports stadium, Olympic-standard 50 metre pool, 25 metre pool and aquatic recovery facilities, gym, and athletics track. The facilities are home to the Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team as well as Olympic and Paralympic champions.

CAVE2TM

The CAVE2TM is a next-generation, 320-degree immersive 3D space that puts you in the centre of complex visual data. Boasting 80 interactive panels, CAVE2TM is one of only four of its kind in the world, and the only one used for teaching and learning.

Collaboration Studio

The Collaboration Studio is an interactive visualisation space. The display panels are 3D and touch enabled, and each table connects to the main display, so students can lead workshops and share and interact with data and images from their own laptops and phones.
