Military Academic Pathway Program

Accelerate your pathway to university

Australian Defence Force veterans and currently serving personnel have exclusive access to participate in a free pathway program designed by veterans and academic staff who specialise in transition to university study, for veterans. Through the program, you will gain the skills and knowledge to ease your transition into university study.

This intensive program is delivered over a four-week period and includes a combination of online learning materials, face-to-face tutorials at our Sunshine Coast campus and supporting seminars offered online via ZOOM.

Through the Military Academic Pathway Program, you will:

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The program has been specifically designed for veterans, by veterans and specialised academic staff, aiming to provide the essential skills and knowledge you will need to transition into and succeed at university.

You will be introduced to the university and the support services available to you, along with learning academic writing, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. The course is specifically scaffolded to capitalise on learning from one topic to the next.

You will learn essential transition skills from academics with experience working with first-year university students and students engaged in alternate pathways into university. You will also hear from our world-class research experts.
