CRM105 Policing

This course introduces students to the foundations of policing. First, the course provides an overview of operational policing examining the origins and functions of contemporary policing. It examines topics such as operational policing approaches, investigations, policing diverse communities, and the dangers of policing. The second phase of the course examines the emerging critical issues in policing such as the use of force by police, technology in policing, and policing major crises.
