Rian Crowther is a Sports Science Officer at Cricket Australia. One of his main roles is to enhance the performance of elite level cricketers. Rian graduated from USC in 2010 and has been working at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane for the past 8 years.
Recently, he continued his studies at USC by enrolling in a Masters of Science research program to further add to his knowledge and qualifications. Rian’s project aims to shed more light on the factors that influence spin bowling to provide valuable information to coaches and players regarding the best way to achieve success.
Rian also recently delivered a lecture to students studying an introductory first year course in Sport and Exercise Science (SPX101) to highlight the opportunities provided by his degree, and to also provide guidance to other USC students on how to successfully progress towards a chosen career path after graduating.
