After beginning her studies in education and science, Clarissa realised that becoming a teacher wasn’t the right path for her, so she pursued her interest in engineering and never looked back. As soon as she began her Bachelor of Civil Engineering studies, she knew she was on the right track being in an exciting industry that is different every single day.

Clarissa is currently working on one of the biggest road infrastructure projects to be delivered by the Moreton Bay Regional Council, the Youngs Crossing upgrade. Living just 20 minutes from the location, Clarissa’s local knowledge gives her a greater understanding of the need for the project to improve its flood immunity, safety and vehicle carrying capacity.
