Asha’s love of gymnastics coaching sparked her passion for teaching but she wasn’t sure she’d get the results she needed to meet the rank and subject prerequisites for the degree program. A few years after she’d finished school, Asha didn’t know if uni was right for her and wasn’t confident she’d be able to return to study. She met with USC’s Indigenous Services to discuss her goals and started her studies with the Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP). The program helped Asha develop skills for uni study, get familiar with the student support services available and meet the entry requirements for her Secondary Education/Recreation and Outdoor Education Studies double degree. Asha continues to excel in her program and has become a student mentor and ambassador, supporting other students to succeed at their studies.
