Computers on campus

Students can access computers on campus for general study purposes. You will need your student card to access the room and/or the building depending on the campus you are studying at. Scheduled classes always have priority access.

Computers are available 24 hours a day unless otherwise specified and scheduled classes always have priority access. You will need your student card to access the room. Quick access computers are available in the Library and Building T, Level 1. These computers are only for checking email, accessing files and printing study materials.

Computer locations are:

  • General access: Library*, Building T, Level 1 and KG.06
  • Timetabled rooms: DG.35, DG.45, J2.03 and J2.04, J2.09, J5.11
  • Restricted access: DG.40, DG.44, HG28, HG.31
  • Mac labs (restricted): DG.41 and DG.43
  • HDR room (restricted): LG.02 Library Ground Floor.
  • Postgraduate areas (restricted): Check with your School.

* All levels of the Library are accessible 24/7 by swiping a USC ID card.

Kiosk computers are available to students for logging into USC anywhere to access the USC environment.

Computer locations are:

  • SCHI Library 
  • Two computer labs - each Computer lab is equipped with 24 PC's
  • Student support and work area on the ground floor of SCHI

USC Fraser Coast has a number of student computer labs for research, assignment preparation, printing and group study. The labs in Building A are available 24/7 with swipe-card access. If you experience problems accessing the building after hours contact USC Fraser Coast.

Students also have 24/7 access to computers and desk space for laptops in the quiet study area of the Library.

Please note: USC Caboolture campus does not have 24/7 Computer Labs or spaces that are accessible to students. Current campus hours are: Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm. The campus is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The campus gates are closed after opening hours.

USC Caboolture has student computers available for research, assignment preparation, printing and group study. The labs are located in the following rooms/buildings:

  • Library (Caboolture Campus Library is a shared facility with TAFE Qld)
  • N Block – Student Commons Building
  • H Block – Indigenous Services Computer Lab
  • J2.02
  • Printing is available in the Library 

Students enrolled to study at any USC campus can access the USC Gympie campus for study purposes as follows:

  • 7am-10pm, Monday to Friday
  • 8am-6pm, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays
  • B Block - 24/7 access

You will need your USC student ID card to access the main building and B Block outside standard office hours (8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday). If you experience problems accessing the building after hours contact USC Gympie.

Students have access to computers on the ground floor common area opposite the student kitchen as well as additional computers on Level 1. The computer lab (GY.G.19) is also available after hours with student ID card access required.

Computers are available for student study in the Library study space (MB-A.G.55) and collection room (MB-A.G.61) – to the right of the main entrance.
