Orientation is designed for new students, to help you make the best possible start to your university experience.

Step 1: Book in for your Program Welcome session
At your Program Welcome session you will meet your teaching staff and other students, learn all about your program, get the lowdown on what to expect and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Orientation tip - Before you attend Orientation, make sure you watch your Program Information video and explore the online Orientation resources.
Program welcome sessions will be held from 10.15–11.15am. Select your program from the drop-down list for your session location and to register.
Once you've found your session, check out the full Orientation program for other activities and sessions to attend.
Step 2: Register for the Orientation welcome and skills workshops

Getting Started at USC Fraser Coast Start your day with an Executive welcome and Welcome to Country where the Traditional Custodians formally welcome you to their land on which we live, work and study. Following this, you’ll be introduced to your campus, staff and facilities and get your questions answered by current students in a Q&A session. |

Study Skills Find out what key skills you need to acquire to be prepared for your first week of study. |

IT Essentials An overview of the University's IT systems including Canvas, USC Central and your student email. You will also learn how to connect to the WIFI and the IT support that's available. |
Step 3: Attend student life events
Make sure you check out the social activities taking place during Orientation – it's a great way to connect, build friendships and learn about USC life. You don't need to book in for these activities, just show up and get involved in the student life at USC.
