Enrolment

Enrol in your courses

Find out where to begin enrolling in your courses and classes so you can plan your study and ensure you graduate on time. Visit How do I enrol? for more information.

Select your classes

When class selection opens, you will be able to choose your class times via USC Central. If you need some help, follow the guides on How do I enrol?.

Understand your student fees and HELP loans

Make sure you review and understand:

Apply for credit (if eligible)

If you’ve completed prior study or have relevant work experience, you may be eligible to apply for credit towards your degree.

Study essentials

Complete compulsory modules

Once you have enrolled in your courses, there are compulsory modules you need to complete before you start your studies. Complete your modules early so that you can apply these values throughout your learning experience.

Study materials

Find out what study materials - such as textbooks, course workbooks and readings - you may need for your studies.

Set up your student email and connect to WIFI

Set up your student email, download Microsoft Office 365 for free, and get familiar with our IT services and support.

Apply for scholarships

Scholarships can give you money to help you study. Last year, one in two students who applied received financial support. There is a wide variety of scholarships available, and you’d be surprised what you might be eligible for!

Organise your Student ID card

Say cheese! Request your Student ID card so you can access the Library and USC facilities, and start reaping the student benefits.

Program information

Log into Canvas

Canvas is where you can access your course learning materials, videos, discussions and assessments. It’s also a great space to connect and collaborate with other students. Log into Canvas via learn.usc.edu.au using your UniSC username and password. Get started with your Passport to Canvas so you are familiar with Canvas before your classes start.

View your course outlines

Your course outline includes important information for each course such as the weekly schedule, learning/assessment tasks, prescribed texts and recommended readings. Course outlines will be available from two weeks prior to classes starting. Log into Canvas using your student username and password and select a course from your Dashboard to view your course outline.

Save important academic dates

Check the Academic Calendar and save important dates such as Orientation, enrolment, grade release, and Census date.

Attend Orientation

Orientation is packed with events, workshops and information sessions that will help you get ready for your studies and know where to go and what to do. Semester 2, 2023 Orientation takes place from 17-21 July.
