The University of the Sunshine Coast was today ranked as the best public university in Queensland for the overall quality of its educational experience for undergraduate students.
For the second year in a row, UniSC topped the state for public universities in the ‘overall’ category.
In the national comparison of Student Experience Surveys completed by undergraduate students, UniSC also topped Queensland in the category of learning resources, came a close second for student support, and third for teaching quality.
UniSC Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Helen Bartlett welcomed the outstanding results released by QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching).
“These results are significant because they reflect the direct opinions of students across UniSC’s campuses from the Fraser Coast to Moreton Bay,” Professor Bartlett said.
“UniSC staff are continually striving to provide a quality experience for all students, from those who have just finished high school to others seeking a career change or a lifelong educational journey.
“These efforts are also shown in the national results, where UniSC made the top six public universities for overall experience and student support.”
QILT also released data from annual International Student Experience Surveys, with UniSC recording an 11 percent rise in the overall educational experience of its International students.
“All of UniSC’s focus areas improved for International students compared to the previous year, which is a very heartening sign following the difficult years since the COVID-19 pandemic,” Professor Bartlett said.
The QILT website helps people make informed choices about higher education options by bringing together survey data from all Australian universities about students’ experiences and graduate job outcomes.
