A highly-experienced Sydney lawyer passionate about equipping artists with the skills and knowledge to understand their rights and negotiate fair reward for their work will give two free public seminars at the University of the Sunshine Coast tomorrow, 28 September.
Delwyn Everard, director of legal services at the Arts Law Centre of Australia, will give a presentation on ‘Copyright 101 for Artists’ at 10.30am and ‘Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property’ at 2.30pm on Wednesday 28 September.
USC Director of Community Engagement Dr Eva-Marie Seeto said the two seminars on campus at Sippy Downs would be of interest to people across the arts industries on the Coast, as well as students and staff.
“As USC develops more and more links to industry professionals and experts in a range of fields, we like to invite the broader community on to campus to make the most of these opportunities,” Ms Seeto said.
