Pippa studied Environmental Policy and Planning at Lincoln University, before entering the private planning sector as a consultant at a global multi-disciplinary firm. She was based in the Christchurch and Auckland offices before returning to study at USC. Pippa worked on large infrastructure projects, with experience in road transport networks and stormwater network improvements. Outside of writing environmental impact assessments, Pippa has experience writing bids, project managing and engaging stakeholders and mana whenua.
Pippa’s work will draw on her experience in the infrastructure planning sphere, to look at what is currently happening in this space in coastal areas. She will predominantly be based in Waikato, New Zealand, with an aim to compare and analyse the governance of infrastructure retreat in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
