Honorary Senior Fellow (May 2007)
Graeme Pearce was named an Honorary Senior Fellow in May 2007 in recognition of his contributions to administration within the Sunshine Coast region.
Graeme Pearce has worked principally in senior management in local government for more than 40 years, in Queensland and Victoria. In 2002, he was appointed as the first Executive Director of SunROC, the Regional Organisation of Councils for the Sunshine Coast region. As Executive Director of SunROC, Mr Pearce is involved in a wide range of organisations, both in the public and private sectors, working collaboratively with councils, key institutions and community leaders to advocate for the region’s needs.
He is a strong supporter of the University, and chaired the Regional Steering Committee for the OECD project on university regional engagement.
In a difficult governance environment he was the consummate diplomat.
