Sanja Radovic

As an Allied Health Clinician at Thompson Institute's Myndset program, Sanja provides focused psychological interventions and clinical care coordination to young people presenting with complex mental health concerns.

Her assessment and interventions are driven by the functional recovery framework to address decline in mental health, educational and vocational functioning, in relationships, and in social connections.

In partnership with Sunshine Coast's public and private sectors, and supported by Thompson Institute's cutting-edge research and clinical teams, Sanja and the Myndset team work to address a large gap in accessible services for our young people's diverse and evolving needs. Sanja also supports the delivery of the youth mental health Myndset program through project management and coordination.

Sanja is experienced in the social and mental health sectors. While living in British Columbia in Canada, she developed her skillset as a crisis support volunteer, women’s shelter frontline worker, and program coordinator. Sanja was a member of the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use (CYMHSU) Collaborative in Revelstoke, and advocated for equality and healthy relationships through events, fundraising, and community education.

After returning to Australia in 2019, Sanja completed a Master of Social Work and expanded into academia. She has collaborated with several of her professors and colleagues at USC on research related to LGBTIQ+ social work curriculum and social work practice with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At the Thompson Institute, she also assisted in research of the underlying illness processes of chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as in research of novel therapeutics for treatment-resistant depression and post-traumatic stress disorder with the Clinical Research Unit.
