David Jenkins

Professor Jenkins graduated with a PhD from The University of Queensland in 1990. Since then, as a full time teaching and research academic, he has been awarded an Australian Learning and Teaching Council citation for outstanding undergraduate teaching, published over 180 peer-reviewed papers, has been the lead investigator on an NHMRC Partnership Grant and graduated, as principal advisor, 24 PhD students.

Professor Jenkins's primary research interest is the physiology of sprint and repeated high intensity exercise. His work has involved basic science in muscle physiology and translating laboratory findings into practice with athletes and clinical populations, most recently with cancer survivors.
