Nicole Southon is a part-time associate lecturer in the occupational therapy discipline. Nicole balances her part-time university appointment with clinical practice in the area of paediatrics. Nicole has practiced as an occupational therapist in Australia and the United Kingdom. She has gained experience working in a range of paediatric settings including child development services, mainstream and special schools.
Nicole completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University in Geelong and her Master of Science in Advancing Practice in Occupational Therapy at the Ulster University in Northern Ireland.
Nicole highly values her roles of occupational therapist, educator and mentor. She is passionate about student learning and is motivated to deliver high quality, engaging university teaching experiences. Nicole has an interest in the application of evidence-based practices and continuing professional development in the practice context.
