Maryam Hajishafiee is a medical researcher at the Thompson Institute. Maryam pursued her PhD in Medicine at the University of Adelaide in 2022. Maryam has extensive research experience and skills in designing and conducting clinical trials in both elders and young people in the field of medicine, neuroscience, and nutrition.
Maryam joined the Thompson Institute to develop her skills and knowledge in neuroscience. As a research assistant, Maryam is involved in data collection and analysis through the use of neurophysiological measures (EEG), neuroimaging (MRI), and qualitative statistics.
Maryam is a co-author of 30 peer-reviewed original research papers and review articles so far. The majority of papers have been published in the leading journals in the fields of nutrition, obesity, gastroenterology and endocrinology.
