Levi Anderson is a Research Associate in the MAIC/UniSC Road Safety Research Collaboration. He has a criminology and policing background. Levi has been involved in road safety research since 2017, focusing on road policing, driver behaviour, and driver impairment. His previous employment includes the Griffith Criminology Institute, Griffith University and Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Levi’s current research is focused on the enforcement of impaired driving across Queensland. His current projects seek to understand on the high rates of high-risk offending while driving on Queensland beaches. Levi is also leading another project which is examining the perceptions and deterrent impacts of varying markings on police vehicles and the impact these markings have on driver behaviour.
