Erin Stevens

Erin is currently working on her doctorate studies within the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), with its completion in June 2023.

Her PhD thesis examines the impact of power on accident causation in healthcare, specifically in the medication administration system. This research focuses on extending current knowledge of systems-based approaches to improve team performance and patient safety.

Prior to this higher degree research role, Erin has successfully completed her post-graduate Master’s degree in Health Promotion, and holds two undergraduate Bachelor degrees in Education and Human Services. Erin has also worked as a project officer with various community health organisations to develop quality multidisciplinary partnerships on the Sunshine Coast.
