Profile

Dr Umer Izhar acquired his Ph.D degree on a Fulbright Scholarship in 2010 from Lehigh University, PA USA. His doctorate degree in electrical engineering was completed with the focus in Micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS).

After completing his doctorate, he worked as an Assistant Professor with NUST, Pakistan. He later joined Central Queensland University (CQU), Australia as a Lecturer in Mechatronics eEgineering and developed part of the Mechatronics curriculum.

His current research interests include design and fabrication of MEMS based sensors and actuators, robotics and automation.
