Jude Maher has more than 10 years of clinical and health promotion experience within both the nursing and dietetic fields.
Jude's research is primarily focused on pre-swallowing nutrition – understanding and modifying the factors that influence and are influenced by our food choice and consumption patterns. Jude’s passion centres on prevention of nutrition-related disease, promotion of health for both individuals and communities, and advocating for socially just and sustainable nutrition and dietetic practices.
Jude teaches into both the Bachelor of Nutrition and the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a strong teaching focus on public health nutrition theory and practice underpinned by a health promotion framework. Jude employs a range of authentic (practice based) teaching and learning methods to journey with students as they learn and develop into critical thinking practitioners.
