Dr Heath Pillen has previously practiced across fields of clinical and public health dietetics, with a special interest in working with vulnerable or marginalised populations. As an interdisciplinary researcher with roots in health services research, health sociology, and educational research, Dr Pillen’s research seeks to identify how healthcare services and public health systems might work more effectively with disadvantaged or marginalised populations in relation to chronic disease prevention and management, working specifically to mitigate inequities in health outcomes.
