Anne Bennison is a teacher educator and mathematics education researcher. Over the twenty years she has been involved in mathematics education, she has taught in secondary and tertiary settings. She is interested in the professional learning of both pre-service and in-service teachers, and how teachers translate their professional learning experiences into classroom practice. Her current research interests include finding ways to support teachers to promote numeracy learning across the curriculum, interdisciplinary collaboration in Initial Teacher Education, and sustainability and scalability of professional development initiatives.

Anne is a member of the Numeracy Across the Curriculum Research Team that was awarded a Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA) Research Award for outstanding contribution to mathematics education research in 2017. She was an Early Career Intern Editor for the Australian Educational Researcher in 2018-2019. She currently holds the role of Vice President (Publications) for MERGA.
