Carla Schiemer is currently completing her honours thesis under the supervision of Dr Stefandis and Dr Truelove with a focus on medicinal cannabis flower and cognitive functions necessary for driving.
While completing her Bachelor of Psychology she has explored research methods with great interest and has built upon these skills through her time employed as a research assistant at the MAIC/UniSC Road Safety Research Collaboration.
Miss Schiemer hopes to commence a PhD in 2023 after completing her honours study.
Her current role as a Research Assistant involves putting together ethics applications, data collection, data analysis, participant recruitment, and assisting senior researchers with manuscripts.
